Edward was born in Sagaponack, Long Island New York. He joined the United States Army and served as military police for 23 years and 6 months. Retired with an honorable discharge." He worked for 13 years in civil service before retiring. Leaving behind a wife of 43 years Hwacha Wyche, Edward L. Wyche Jr (son) Edward L. Wyche III (grandson) Alica V. Coffey (sister), James A. Wyche (brother), Karen R. King (sister), Leonard T. Wyche (brother) Brandy Wyche (daughter in law), Danesha Shipman (granddaughter) Tatyana Matlock (granddaughter). Proceed in death Alice M. Wyche (mother) and James H. Wyche (father). Edward was a life member of the VFW Post 8919 and American Legion Post 832. Hobbies include Koon-can, sports fan, and New York Giants fan.

Funeral Service to begin at 9:00am on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 4601 Maxwell Avenue.
