Elizabeth Naomi Dixon Meloche

June 18, 1924 — January 24, 2021

Elizabeth Naomi Dixon Meloche, 96, passed away on January 25th, 2021. Elizabeth was born in London, Ontario, Canada, on June 18, 1924. She was the firstborn child of Frank B. Dixon and Ethel R. Dixon. Later a brother, Frank Lloyd Dixon, and a sister, Violet May Dixon would follow. Elizabeth became a Registered Nurse and had a career that took her across Canada and the Northern United States. She later met and married James Alfonse Meloche, a member of the United States Air Force. Elizabeth and Jim traveled around the World, and eventually had two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Caron Jamesine. Elizabeth had many interests to include gardening, cooking, playing Bridge, knitting, sewing, and painting. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the Altar Care, Craft Club, Garden Club, Bridge Club, and she delivered for Meals on Wheels. Elizabeth loved to travel the World and visited all of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal. She was blessed to have wonderful friends all over the Globe. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, James A. Meloche; her parents, siblings, a niece, and all of her friends. She leaves behind her daughter, Mary E. Baudrau-Johnson of Grapevine, Texas; and her daughter, Caron J. Meloche of El Paso, Texas. Also, son in-law, Monte Kevin Johnson; granddaughters Danielle Marie Petrosky of Keller, Texas, and Emilie Anne Baudrau, of Grapevine, Texas; grandson, James Robert Baudrau of Grapevine, Texas. She also leaves behind great-granddaughters Stephanie Elizabeth Petrosky, and Kylie Grace Petrosky, of Keller, Texas. The Service for Elizabeth will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, from 1:00-4:00 pm (Service begins at 2:00), at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79924. The burial will take place on Thursday, February 4th, at 10:00 am, at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, and will be for family only.
