A loving Husband, nurturing Father, loving Son, loyal Brother and devoted Friend our Erik Van Derveer Lambourn went home to be with our Lord on Saturday May 24, 2014 at the age of 40.
Erik was born in Dallas, Texas to Robert V. Lambourn and Ann Brooks on September 30, 1973. He was preceded in death by his Father Robert V. Lambourn and was Blessed to get to know and call John Brooks his Dad. Erik was proud to be a part of the El Paso Fire Department for 10 years until medical retirement. He loved spending quality time with his entire family. A few hobbies he enjoyed were star gazing, four wheeling with his son and friends and was an enthusiastic gardener at home. Erik had a huge presence at Mitzi Bond Elementary school and was a big part of their PTA. The children of Mitzi Bond knew him as the “ice cream man.”
Erik was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife Terry Bustillos Lambourn, Son Jeremy, Daughter Abigayle, Mother Ann Brooks, Father John Brooks, Brother Ryan (Amy) Lambourn, Sisters Elizabeth (Marcus), Kelley (Royce) and many nieces and nephews. In Lieu of flowers a Memorial fund has been set up for Erik’s children at Weststar Bank under Theresa Lambourn.
