Castaneda
We mourn the passing of our beautiful mother Evangelina V. Castaneda, 82 yrs. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family on November 12, 2020. Eva was a loving Wife and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She was preceded by her beloved husband Antonio P. Castaneda, Sr., parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her children Patricia C. Rubio (Manuel), Antonio P. Castaneda, Jr (Fabiola), Francisco J. Castaneda and Amelia C. Guzman (Jesus); Brother Jose A. Vasquez (Maria Luisa), Sisters Luisa Vasquez, Candida Vasquez, Sister-in-law Isidra Vasquez, 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her Unconditional love, Sense of Humor and the famous rollers will be greatly missed. Her greatest joy was baking her famous Biscochos, Red enchiladas and Sweet tea. She was a long-time Resident of San Elizario and served as an Alternate Judge for the Elections, was a volunteer for the San Elceario Catholic Church and shared her patriotism on Veteran’s Day and enjoyed annual Parades.
Visitation: 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home – Americas. Following Rosary/Vigil: 12 p.m. Prayer Service: 12:30 p.m. Committal Service: 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
