Evangelina R. Marquez

Evangelina R. Marquez (Eva) born on January 14, 1931, was greeted at the Heavenly gates by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Eva was reunited with her mother after 85 years and her husband of 59 years. Eva was wonderfully devoted to her 6 children; Rosa, Sabino, Evangelina, Carlos, Leticia and Mario. She was a loving grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Eva lived through obstacles people should never have to go through, yet she overcame it all through hard work and unfailing faith. She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings. – Ariana Dancu. Eva was the main root for all the branches in the family. She carried so much love in her heart that eventually that heart stopped. Grandma took care of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and made every single person feel as if they were the most special. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Eva leaves behind an unspeakable hole in our hearts, but now she can finally rest in peace! Visitation will be held Saturday, February 20th, 2021 from 8-9am at Sunset Funeral Home-Carolina with a Rosary Service at 9am and Burial will be held at 10:30am at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sabino Marquez, Carlos Marquez Jr., Mario Marquez, Martin Gomez III, Sabin Marquez and Luis Perez.
