Fabian L. Palomo

Fabian Ledesma Palomo 84, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2020. He passed away peacefully at home, where he spent his last days surrounded by love with his devoted wife, Rosa, at his side. Fabian was born on December 24, 1936 in Mexico and moved to El Paso at an early age with his parents who preceded him in death, Jose Palomo and Anastacia Ledesma Palomo. He began working at Farah manufacturing where he worked for many years as a sewing machine mechanic until the factory closed. It is there where he met his wife, Rosa Mendoza. They were married on December 27, 1964. After leaving Farah, he worked as a custodian for the Ysleta Independent School District until his retirement. Fabian dreamed of becoming an American citizen and providing for his family the opportunities that he never had. He became an American citizen and was an outstanding father to his four sons, Fabian, Ramon, Luis, and Ricardo. He instilled in them his values of hard work, dedication, a sense of humor, and love of the Lord. Fabian was a member of the Catholic church. He was a humble servant as a Lector at Santa Lucia Catholic Church where he loved his involvement with the community serving every Sunday as well as his weekly bible study groups. Fabian is remembered for his sense of humor, his love of laughter, and his devotion to his family and his Church. He is preceded in death by his brothers Augustin Palomo, Domingo Palomo, Juan Palomo, and his sister, Maria Palomo. He is survived by his brother, Jose Palomo and sister, Teresa Estrada. Fabian leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Rosa, his four sons, Fabian Palomo (Jeanne), Ramon Palomo (Robin), Luis Palomo (Michelle), and Ricardo (Gracie Rodriguez), ten grandchildren, Jessica and Chris, Erika, Jakob, Michael and Julia, Adriana and Angelina, Emily and Alysha, and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Rosary at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes-East, 750 N. Carolina.
