GABRIEL ALEX VELEZ entered into the hands of our Lord on Thursday,
July 2, 2020 at the age of 27. Gabriel was born in El Paso, TX on
January 2, 1993. He graduated from Cathedral High School where he
played football and baseball and where he developed the brotherhood
he cherished so much. His love for sports started at a very early age and
he excelled as an athlete. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a fan
of the New York Yankees.
Even though Gabriel was with us for a few short years, he made a huge
impact on many people. He was a kind and gentle soul, always willing
to help others. He was a mentor and friend to many. His sense of
humor, goofiness and ability to make people laugh will be sorely
missed. Gabriel was very compassionate and had a heart of gold. Most
importantly, the love he had for his family was like no other.
Gabriel is survived by his loving parents, Emilio Velez, Jr. and Debbie
Salaices, his beloved sister, Jasmyn Salaices (Victor Toquinto), his
brothers, Emilio Velez (Bea) and Joseph Velez (Linda) and his loving
grandmother, Alicia Velez. He is also survived by the love of his life,
Elaine Padilla and his adopted children, Antonio, Rudy and Ysabelle. He
leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and
friends.
