Genesis Berlyn Soto

Genesis “Gen” Berlyn Soto was born on January 30, 1989, to Julio Soto and Nora Acosta in Bellflower, California. Genesis was a graduate of Chapin High School and El Paso Community College. Genesis excelled in basketball during her high school years. Gen was a dedicated and loving mother to her two daughters, Destinee Harris and Drianna Tucker as well as Dallas Tucker, whom she loved as her own child. Her life revolved around her children. She was the eldest of five siblings. Gen was independent, hard working, passionate and intelligent. She possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed to spend time with her family and friends. Gen was an avid basketball fan. She will be remembered as determined, uncompromising, lighthearted and charming. Gen departed this life on June 28, 2018. She was truly blessed and a blessing to those who met her. She was preceded in death by her love, Cliff Tucker. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Destinee and Drianna; her parents, Julio and Nora Soto; her siblings, Kimberly, Mercedes, Jasmine and Jason; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Funeral Service at 6:00pm on Friday, July 06, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
