George E. Santaguida

GEORGE E. SANTAGUIDA passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the age of 95. He was born on February 18, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Modesto Santaguida and Lydia Eynard. He was a World War II veteran, serving in both the Pacific and European fronts, in addition to the Korean and Vietnam Wars, accumulating 26 years of service with the United States Army and retiring a Seargent First Class; he also served over 20 years of civil service with multiple defense contractors and the FAA. His father, Modesto Santaguida, was born in Taranto, Puglia, Italy in 1882, and his mother, Lydia Eynard, was born in Turin, Torino, Piemonte, Italy in 1896; both had immigrated from Italy to the United States early in the 20th century through Ellis Island in New York. George is survived by his 5 sons: George U Santaguida (Cheryl), Charles Santaguida, Steve Santaguida, Christopher Guido Santaguida (Norma Wong), and Scott Santaguida (Jan), as well as by multiple grandchildren.
