Gilbert Andre Pippin, 64, was born on October, 25, 1954 and raised in El Paso, TX by his parents, Emelia Curiel and Wallace McNicol. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 6 years, finishing his Army career as an SP5 in medical services. Gilbert completed his Bachelor and Master of Science Degree in Nursing at UTEP. As a Registered Nurse, Gilbert served the community of El Paso for 30 years in the medical field, saving and caring for countless lives. As well as being of service to his community, Gilbert was a fan of listening to music and was an avid guitar player, singer and song writer.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Chrisa Lynn Pelland, Gilbert Andre Pippin, Jr., Robert Charles Pippin, Andres Pippin and Danyl Nicole Pippin; his brothers, John and David McNicol; his sisters, Michele Colvin, Katherine Chew, Linda Berry; and 2 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by the many people in his life that were touched by his selfless, caring personality.
Visitation will begin at 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a Funeral Service at 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 02, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 02, 2019 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
