Gordon Robert Benjamin Schuetz

Gordon Robert Benjamin Schuetz, 93, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 Gordon was born in Chicago Illinois on June 22, 1925. He graduated from high school then left to proudly serve his country in the United States Army on June 14, 1943. He served 20 years and retired in 1963 as a CW3. His tours of duty included Guam, Japan, Korea, USARCARIB, and White Sands. Gordons medals included American Campaign WWIIVM, Good Conduct, Korean Service, United States Service, NDSM, Bronze Star, AOM (Japan), Army Commendation, and 2 Os Bars. He worked for over 45 more years as an operations manager for Skyline and accountant for REY Properties. Gordan enjoyed spending time with his family, golf, and traveling. He was a Shriner, a 50 Year Master Mason, and a member of American Legion. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Wilbert and Elfrieda Schuetz, His wife Renate Schuetz, His brother, Wilfred Schuetz, and sister , Ruth Soderholm. He leaves behind his wife Linda Gschwind- Schuetz, sons Stephen Schuetz, Mark Gschwind, Brian Gschwind, and daughter Cheryll Ramirez, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchldren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday December 12, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Followed by a Committal Service at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
