Born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Gregory joined the US Army. After training, Greg was stationed at Fort Bliss. He began to call El Paso his home. After serving his country for 20 years, he retired with an Honorable discharge and went to work for Sun Metro and retired after 19+ years because of medical reasons. He chose to make El Paso his home because he met and Married the love of his life Doreen Norris. They were happily married for 33 wonderful years. Doreen thinks she lost her status as #1 love of his life to his favorite pastime, Fishing. He was a lifetime fan of the Washington Redskins, Win or Lose. There were no children in this union but hundreds of nieces, nephews, filled the void. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Doreen Norris, His mother, Martha Norris, 6 sisters and 4 brothers, a host of nieces and nephews; 1 daughter, 5 grands, 3 great grands, 4 brothers in law and 5 sisters in law. Visitation will be from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Scripture Service will begin at 9:30am on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 10:30 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast.
