Homer Arthur Vinson

May 31, 1925 — September 22, 2018

A great man has left us. Homer Arthur Vinson, Jr. served his country with a tour in the Navy during WW2 and a career in the Air Force that spanned 20 years. After retiring from the military, he worked for Lockheed Martin building the Space Shuttle. While stationed in Brazil, he met the love of his life, Leilah. They had 3 children: Louie, Yvonne and Richard, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was a caring, responsible, compassionate, empathetic, humorous and dedicated man. He changed the lives of countless people for the better. This world has suffered a great loss but now he is in the loving arms of Leilah and Yvonne again. This brings the remaining members of his family great joy and comfort. We know he still is with us, sight unseen and still gives his love and support, just from a different place now. God bless you Arthur. You were truly a gift to this world. We will see you again one day and it will be joyous. We all love you forever.
