Isaias Valdez

Isaias Valdez, age 19 passed away Feb 3, 2021. He was born Oct 1, 2001 at Del Sol Hospital to John Valdez and Anna Lopez. Remembered by his family as a shy child the only one who never complained was full of compassion and loved to read. Remembered by his friends and coaches as a kind, humble and studious young man with an infallible work ethic on the football field and whose punishment in the class was often confiscating his books. He was always kind and willing to lend a helping hand never expecting anything in return, knowing that he was able to help someone in need was enough. His death came suddenly and tragically from one day to the next he had just graduated San Elizario High School and had his whole life to look forward to. An old soul, wise beyond his years who was polite courteous and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was an autodidact who loved to study different subjects. His taste in music was wide ranging from contemporary hip hop to Frank Sinatra. He spoke little, loved deeply and was loved deeply. You will always be remembered for having a great sense of humor, your eclectic music tastes and your love of mint chocolate ice cream.  Isa you leave us unexpectedly and way too soon, but you leave behind so many memories filled with love in the hearts of those who knew you. He is survived by his mother Anna L Lopez; father John Juan Valdez, brothers Noe Valdez, Jeremy Valdez, sister Kimberly Valdez, tos, tas, primos, friends and coaches as well everyone whose life was touched by his kindness and the sincerity of his soul. Isaias was a caring and giving person he continued that in death through organ donation so others may live. Special thanks to the Nurses and staff at Las Palmas Medical Facility whose kindness helped his family through a difficult time.  A visitation will held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service starting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. February 10, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. A funeral service will begin at 9:30 AM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, Interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
