Jana Marie Charland-Krumrey

CHARLAND-KRUMREY In loving memory of Jana Marie Charland-Krumrey who passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014, at the young age of 65. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt. She was born on June 24, 1948 in Riverside, California. She was the oldest child, and only daughter of the late Alfred and Wilma Fehling. She has one surviving brother, Dr. Alfred William Fehling Jr., whom is married to Jan and are parents to Will and Drew Fehling. Born and raised in California, Jana graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1966. She moved to El Paso to be with her parents in 1988, where she met Lloyd Walter Krumrey Jr., the love of her life, one year later. They moved to Santa Teresa, New Mexico in 1999, and have been enjoying the beautiful desert views ever since. Throughout her life, she enjoyed many roles and hobbies. Her greatest role was that of Mother & Grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Michael Charland married to Melissa of Knoxville, TN, Aimee Charland Mills married to Terry of Kaiserslautern, Germany and Jennifer Simpson married to Kevin of Houston, TX. She has been blessed by nine grandchildren: Courtney, Ryan, Timothy, Christopher, Kiera, Garrett, Gabrielle, Zachary and baby Simpson due in July. She will most be remembered by her loving, supportive demeanor and incredible strength throughout her life’s triumphs and trials. She was truly a remarkable matriarch for so many, and will be severely missed. Her lifelong hobbies of sewing and quilting, and all the beautiful things she made, will forever be cherished in the years to come. She was truly talented with a needle and thread. She had recently found a Quilting Guild where she met many wonderful friends and great encouragers of her hobby. All of her life, she was a talented homemaker who enjoyed getting her hands dirty in her garden and then cooking up a feast for her loved ones. She was a word game champion and loved laughing over the comics with her husband. The family would like to thank Dr. Arsenio Lopez, his staff, and the nurses of Providence Memorial Hospital for their loving care during her courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13. 2014 at 2:00 pm at Ascension Lutheran Church located at 6520 Loma de Cristo Dr. El Paso, TX 79912. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
