Jerdan Simon

1SG (Ret) Jerdan Simon Jr. was born on September 9, 1933 in Darlington, South Carolina to Jerdan Simon Sr. and Nellie Bacote. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for over 30 years, touring in both Vietnam and Korea. He worked as a Civil Servant with the Stinger Missile System on Fort Bliss for 26 years totaling his government service to the United States for 56 years. He passed away on August 25, 2018 in El Paso, Texas. He is preceded in death by both his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Daisy Lee Casley; his sons, Tyrone and Christopher Marlow Simon; his daughter Betrice Simon; his brother Perry Simon; his daughter-in-law Crystal Simon and his grandchildren Jordan Lee, Nicholas, T’mara and Madison. Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast followed by the Committal Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
