Jimmie Wade Daw

January 16, 1933 — December 3, 2020

Jimmie Wade Daw Sr. was born in El Paso, Texas on January 16, 1933. He was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on December 3, 2020. Jimmie served in the US Army, The El Paso International Airport Board and was a Rotarian. He was one of the founders of Daw’s Home Furnishings. He was full of life, he loved playing cards, hunting, dancing, going to Whataburger and the Little Dinner, and most of all, he loved going to the movies with his grandchildren. Jimmie loved his business and often worked 7 days a week to provide for his family. He is survived by his sister Madeline, his wife of 62 years, Lois, his children Kathy, Jimmie Jr. (Valerie), Barbara, Carol (Allen), Joann, Paul (Monica), 9 grandchildren, Jerrett, Reed, Jamille, Danielle, Sean, Ali, Seth, Noah, and Jocelyn, and one great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by too many cousins to list and friends. We want to thank all the staff at the Legacy for the unconditional loving care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to El Paso Alzheimer’s Association. “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”’ • Luke 23:43
