John V. McCammon

September 3, 1955 — November 24, 2021

John V. McCammon, our loving husband, father, brother and friend, born on September 3rd, 1955, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. John had the rare and admirable ability to live each day unapologetically as his true, down to earth self. Kind and loving, he never knew a stranger, except for perhaps the local handyman due to his resourcefulness and ability to fix anything himself. He had a love of golf, music, good food, cold beer or even better, free beer. What he loved most was enjoying these things in the company of his family and friends. As a young man he loved riding motorcycles and traveling around the world. He eventually moved on to flying gliders and private planes, which became some of his fondest memories. These past 30 years he successfully worked for himself giving him the freedom to spend his time as he wished. John was immensely proud of his family and found happiness in every day. John is welcomed into heaven by his loving parents; Charles Victor McCammon and Amalia F. McCammon. He is survived by his beautiful wife; Anna Marie McCammon; his dearest children; John R. McCammon (Jane) and Sarah A. McCammon; and his twin brother; Chuck McCammon. He is also survived by many extended friends and family to cherish and honor his memory. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a Holy Rosary to be followed at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 10:30am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 930 E. Redd Rd., El Paso, Texas. The Graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
