Jose Antonio Alday

JOSE ANTONIO ALDAY passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at age 90. He was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered for his gentle soul, quick wit, devotion to his children and boundless love for his late wife, Genoveva. Jose will be dearly missed by the many lives he touched in Matamoros, Mexico, where he was born, the Rio Grande Valley where he studied, Washington D.C. where he lived, built his family and worked as a printer for AFSCME and Fannie Mae, and across Texas, Mexico and beyond. Jose is survived by his sister Magdalena Lopez-Araiza, his sons Javier Alday and Jorge Alday and his granddaughter Ines Alday. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Ann Church in Washington D.C. Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland.
