Keegan Henderson was born on April 11, 1984, in El Paso, TX to Kamala K. Bethea and Wayne Douglas Faulk. He grew up attending Unity Missionary Baptist Church and he also attended Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church. Keegan attended schools in Atlanta, GA, El, Paso, TX and he graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, NM and he attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Keegan played football for the Northeast Raiders Youth Football Organization for two years and he also played football in high school all four years. In his senior year, he made the All-Metro Football Team and New Mexico High School Coaches Association North/South Football Team.
Keegan was a go-getter; he wanted to do things his way. He was always able to make you laugh in any situation. His granddad took him fishing as a young boy and after that, he fell in love with the sport. He would go to Hideaway Lake as often as he could. He would bring home the fish he caught and would clean them and when he had enough there would be a fish fry.
Keegan was always smiling. He liked classic cars, listening to music, and spending time with the family. He started working in the moving and storage business while he was in high school with a self-employed gentleman who wanted “big strong football player type” guys to work with him. Keegan enjoyed doing that type of work because he was able to use his strength to help people in the relocation process. He was employed with Ashley’s Furniture, before he decided to start his own moving business, Citywide Moving. He was extremely passionate about helping people relocate. Keegan could load people’s household goods into a truck so neat and orderly and in record time and without damage and they always marveled at his expertise in how he could do all of that and make one trip. He worked his business until he was hired at QP Energy Services, LLC. He loved working and any job he had he would do his best.
Keegan was preceded in death by his grandparents Pastor L. Henderson and Lady Martha Henderson. He leaves behind to cherish his life his mother Kamala Bethea and step-father Kenneth Bethea, El Paso, TX, brother Andre D. Keith, El Paso, TX, life partner DesJour Flint, 2 sons KaDarious Lee James Henderson and Justice French, 2 uncles Lawrence (Larry) Henderson, Jr. (Karen) and Douglas M Henderson (Latasha), nieces, nephews, cousins, step-sister, aunts, and a host of friends.
