Lauren Anne Love

August 9, 1998 — January 10, 2020

Our beloved daughter, wife, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, Lauren Anne Love (Herbert) age 21, ran into the arms of Jesus on January 10, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was born in Las Cruces, NM on August 9, 1998 to Thomas and Karla (Smyer) Herbert. She grew up in El Paso, TX where she attended St. Mark’s School and Coronado High School. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Lauren played soccer with AYSO during her younger years. She loved to dance, listen to music, and was an avid reader. Her infectious laughter would fill a room, and still rings in our hearts. When you remember Lauren, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Let her life be a reminder that life is fragile, short, and should be lived to the fullest. Her heart’s desire was to help others, and prior to her undiscovered blood clot and stroke, she had plans to become a paramedic. One of Lauren’s final wishes was to be an organ donor. Through her unselfish generosity, she was able to give a new life to many people awaiting transplants. Lauren was our miracle baby, and she now lives on as a hero and miracle in the lives of the donors who received her gift of life. Lauren was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Herbert, SMSGT (ret) USAF. She is survived by her parents, Thomas and Karla Herbert of El Paso, TX; her husband, Corbin Love of Pueblo, CO; her brothers, Matthew, Michael, and Ian all of El Paso, TX; her grandparents, Frank and Fannie Smyer of Deming, NM, Janice and Tom Starkey of Albuquerque, NM, and Karen Herbert of Oconomowoc, WI; her loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home, located at 480 N. Resler in El Paso, TX. A reception and lunch will immediately follow after the service at the banquet facility in the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made in Lauren’s name to Southwest Transplant Alliance. Checks may be made payable to Outlive Yourself Foundation, and mailed to Southwest Transplant Alliance, Inc. / 5489 Blair Rd / Dallas, TX 75231
