Lorenza "Chata" Olivas

Lorenza “Chata” Olivas Entered into heaven on July 10, 2021 to be with her loving parents Jose and Maria Rosario Olivas and brothers Manuel and George Olivas. She was born on March 6, 1951 in El Paso, TX. As a child she was raised in “Segundo Barrio." As a teenager her family moved to the Lower Valley, where she finished her high school years and graduated from Ysleta High School in 1969. She raised four children, Sonia, Ida, John, and Amanda. She has seven grandchildren: Veronica, Andrew, Eric, Krysta, Cheyenne, Haleigh & Emma. She has five nephews and one niece. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes– East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 16, 2021 at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark.
