Lorenzo C. Mora

Lorenzo C. Mora, 96, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2019. He was born in El Paso, Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II as an automatic rifleman with the 71st Infantry Division from March 1943 to November 1945. His battles/campaigns include Western Germany, Northern France, and Central Europe. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he Enlisted into the United States Navy as a steelworker and earned another honorable discharge on March 11, 1967 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents Toribio and Maria; sons, Larry, Jose Luis, and Eddie Mora; daughters, Rita and Rosie Guzman. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Mora; son, William Trujillo; daughters, Margie Torres, Barbara Trujillo, Victoria Gonzalez; 25 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; brother, Salvador Mora. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1,2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a prayer service starting at 7:00 PM, at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Drive. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, with military honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
