Lynda Jean Dils, age 73 , went to be with her Lord on December 20, 2019 . She was born on July 10, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles Wright and June (Soulek) Wright. In 1954, she moved with her parents and older sister, Amy, to Sacramento, California. In 1964, Lynda graduated from James Marshall High School in West Sacramento, California. Lynda was active in many school organizations and athletics. Her fondest memory was her participation in Job’s Daughters and her role as Honor Queen of Bethel 338. In 1967, she was elected Grand Bethel Representative of the State of California. Lynda attended Sacramento City College and in 1967, graduated with a degree in Nursing and General Education. During her nursing career, Lynda worked in the areas of Cardiology, Radiology, Drug Rehabilitation, and Psychiatric Nursing. Lynda married Wesley Dils on February 10, 1973 at Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After the birth of her two children, David and Susan, Lynda retired from nursing to become a full-time homemaker. Lynda was an avid reader, lover of movies, traveling, and her beloved dogs. Her most cherished love was her family. Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wright, and her mother, June Wright. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Dils of El Paso, TX; sister, Amy Lawrence of Albuquerque, New Mexico; son, David Dils of Benbrook, TX; and daughter, Susan Dils of Manhattan, KS. The family wishes to thank Martha Ricci and the staff at Ricci’s Foster Home for their loving care of Lynda and love and support for her family. A private memorial service will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions are made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
