Madeline Sias

January 18, 1951 — October 22, 2017

Madeline Pastrana Jones Sias 66, passed away from her bout with pancreatic cancer on October 22, 2017 at home. Madeline was born in Puerto Rico and lived in Mexico City. Madeline was a very strong loving person that set the standard for the rest of our family. Her children have grown and live all over the world with our grandchildren. Madeline got to talk to everyone during the first couple of weeks in September. She will be missed by all of us. Her belief in Jesus is real. She confessed with her own being that Jesus is Lord and she believed in heart that Jesus was raised from the dead by God; therefore, she will be saved. Madeline is in heaven and will always be with us. Madeline had a knack for meeting people with special needs. Anywhere she would go she could sense that special connection and communicate with certain people that no one else could understand. It was a special thing to see. She was a gifted counselor for many during her time at Mental Help Hawaii where she ran a half-way house. Madeline was a military spouse for over 21 years to Alejandro Sias Jr., who served in the U.S. military, Marine Corps, and in the Army for 29 years. Alejandro is a war veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and his last duty station was at Fort Bliss, TX. Madeline and Alejandro fell in love with El Paso and both decided to make it their home. Madeline is survived by her father Alejandro Pastrana Y Linaje, age 95, and her step mother Maria Arias Urzay, her husband, Alejandro Sias Jr., son Nicholas Alexander Lent and his wife Yukiko, three daughters, Salina Sias Mailer and her husband Matt Mailer, Thea Marie Kanahele and her husband Chad Kanahele, and Asia Maria Sias. Madeline also is survived by 7 grandchildren; Mattie Mailer, Jackson Mailer, Kai Lent, Makoa Lent, Noah Kanahele, Kapri Kanahele, and Kamakani Kanahele, her sisters AdaMarie King (husband Lynn) who resides in Malinalco, Mx, and her twin sister Marlene Waters of WA (husband Steve Waters).
