Magdalena Herrera

Our beautiful, precious and beloved mother Magdalena Herrera born on August 6, 1941 joined her mother Clementina Downey and her bothers Jerry Martin and Hank Martin on May 19, 2014. Our mother was not only our mother, she was our best friend. She had a love for life and shared her joy with everyone. She is survived by her brothers: Jack Martin, Denny Martin and Mickey Downey, Michael Downey, Delbert Downey; sisters: Patricia Saenz, Tina Lujan and Cynthia Grajeda; Children: Carmen Belinda Nelke, Teodoro Herrera, David Herrera, Lisa Herrera and Lorraine Herrera; Grandchildren: Melissa Murphy, Teodoro Herrera, Jr., and Teddy Herrera, Jr. Meliah Herrera, Fernando Sanchez, Ryan Sanchez, Sierra Herrera, and Diego Escobar; Great-grandchildren: Natalie Murphy, Breanda Murphy, and Christobal Calanche, Jr. Viewing/Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Homes at 750 N. Carolina Drive on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4:00-9:00pm with Rosary to begin at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Lucia Catholic Church located at 518 Gallagher at 10:30am on Friday, May 23, 2014. All relatives and friends are welcome to the services.
