Malcolm Joseph Standish, beloved husband, father, son and brother was called home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born on June 25, 1945 to John Sinclair Standish and Margaret Ann Yates in Atherton, England. He joined the army in 1967 and served in Vietnam as an MP. He left the army with a rank of E-6 Staff Sergeant. He went on to the Long Beach California Police Department as a dispatcher before returning to El Paso where he joined the El Paso Sheriff’s Department and retired after 20 years of service as a peace officer. Malcolm was married 28 years to his loving wife, Nell. He is survived by Nell, his daughter Theresa, his son Timothy, sisters Janis, Jacqueline and Christina, and brother Wayne. He has 8 grandchildren, 8 nieces, and 4 nephews. Services will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church on December 8, 2014. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 and the celebration of his life will be from 11:30-12:30. Graveside will be at 1:00 at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
