Manuel Coronel (Manny), 70, a veteran of the United States Army who served two terms in Vietnam, lost his courageous battle to Agent Orange related illnesses on Friday, May 11th. He is predeceased by his mother, Petra Coronel. He is survived by his wife Esther Coronel, father Pedro Coronel, sons Richard (Maria) and Michael Coronel (Carolina), daughter Rachel Gulley and several grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Isabel Coronel, Irene Navarrette, Delia Terrell (Jim), Cecilia McGovert (Adolfo), several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Richard Coronel, Michael Coronel, Graciano Ramirez Jr., Eddie Navarrette, Cmdr. James Terrell and Adolfo McGovert III.
Services are as follows:
Thursday, May 17 -- Visitation and viewing will be held from 4:00pm-9:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home at 750 N. Carolina Dr., El Paso, TX 79915. Memorial service will start at 7:00pm.
Friday, May 18 -- Mass will be held at 10:00am at St. Mark Catholic Church at 11700 Pebble Hills Blvd., El Paso, TX 79936. Following mass, he will receive full military honors at 11:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
