Manuel Del Rio

Manuel Del Rio, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 surrounded by his family. Manuel was a graduate of Bowie High and was proud to serve in the US Airforce. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father, Simon Del Rio; mother, Celia Provencio; and his son, Manny Del Rio, Jr. Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Sodelva Valenzuela; daughters: Claudia I. Valenzuela & Sylvia Del Rio Ray; and two grandchildren: Jovana A. Perez & Arron Ray. He is also survived by his brothers: Simon Del Rio & Fernando Del Rio; and sisters: Graciela Vasquez & Bertha Lopez. Manuel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Visitation will held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 N. Loop Dr. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 12:45 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
