Maria Flora Vizcaino

Maria Flora Vizcaino, 85, was called to heaven by the Lord on December 3, 2019, in El Paso, Texas. She was born on February 16, 1934 to Mr. & Mrs. Faustino Pineda, Jr. She was the oldest of eleven children. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Jesse J. Vizcaino; also Mr. & Mrs. Faustino Pineda Jr., Johnny, Olga, Rene, Faustino the III and Tina Ramos. Maria was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving children, Camilla Arredondo, (George), and her son Jesse Robert Vizcaino. Her three grandchildren are Jesse, (Wendy), Eric Arredondo and Monique (Raul) Torres. Three great grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna Torres and Andres Arredondo. She has two sisters, Socorro Whatley and Irene Hernandez. Three brothers, Leo, Robert (Bobby) and Martin Pineda. She has an abundance of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She worked as a secretary for Mr. Bailey and at Godbold Feed Store. On April 4, 2013, she retired from the Border Patrol, after serving for more than 28 years. She was an active member of her community and St. Mary’s Catholic School, a lector for the church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She will be missed by family, friends, but now she is with the lord and her loved ones. Visitation will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home - West. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 211 W. San Antonio St. Marfa, Texas.
