Mark Anthony Ramirez, 23, was born in El Paso, TX on December 21, 1993 to Cipriano Ramirez and Melanie (Robinson) Ramirez. Born three months early, weighing only 2 lbs, he defied all odds by surviving and blessing us with his kind heart and gentle spirit.
Mark always applied himself to everything he wanted to accomplish. Determined to get an education, he received his G.E.D. from El Paso Community College, where he later began to pursue a college degree before moving to Ruidoso, New Mexico with his older brother in search of a better opportunity.
Mark worked for Schlotzsky’s Sandwich Shop in Ruidoso for three years. Although he hated wearing his work hat, he enjoyed being around his coworkers and manager who soon became like a mentor.
He loved to listen to music, play video games, and he definitely loved to eat. Mark was highly family oriented. He spent all of his free time taking care of his beloved dog, Mia, and hanging out with family, especially his grandpa. Mark referred to his grandpa as his “best friend.” He would take him fishing, to the casino, out to eat, and to his dialysis appointments every Thursday. Mark was very kind, caring, and unselfish.
He is survived by his parents, Cipriano Ramirez and Melanie Ramirez; his three siblings, Chris Alexander Meliniotis, Alyssa Lanelle Ramirez and Marina Laelani Ramirez; his adored fur baby Mia and his countless aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends who will miss him dearly.
