Neville Basil Strachan was born in Carriacou, West Indies December 4, 1954 to Claudius and Cynthia Strachan. His early education occurred in Grenada, before immigrating to New York and enlisting in the U.S Army in 1980. This was an endeavor he enjoyed, and he quickly rose to the rank of Field Artillery Sergeant. This career path provided the opportunity for extensive travel throughout the world and as fate would have it, he met the love of his life Lora Ann Southern. They married and eventually settled in El Paso, TX., where they raised a family, daughters Latasha Ann Babb, Janet Michelle Strachan, and Tiffany Nicole Strachan. Neville retired from the Army in 1992 and began a career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, serving Veterans like himself in many capacities. Most noticeably, he was a dedicated husband a loving and caring father as well as a loyal and committed friend. Neville passed away on November 12, 2020. He is survived by his wife Lora, his daughters, Latasha, Janet and Tiffany, his grandchildren Xavier Alexander Babb, and Raelyn Nicole Babb, his sons-in-law Craig Babb and Enoch Torres Jr., his brother Jeffrey Strachan, his sister Pamela Strachan and his sister-in-law Yvrose Strachan. He is proceeded in death by his brother Trevor Strachan. In addition, he leaves to mourn nephews Michael and Brian Strachan as well as nieces Jenelle and Kendra Strachan. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home – Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso from 1:00-4:00 PM and a funeral service on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
