Olga S. Rivas

Olga Sigala Rivas beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was granted her angel wings on February 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cd. Juarez Chihuahua on December 31, 1941 and was a graduate of Jesus and Mary Academy El Paso, Texas class of 1960. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and hosted weekly rosary prayer devotions in her home. Her life was a living example of prayer, helping your neighbor, and placing God first in your life. Known for her faith in God and acts of kindness, Olga was constantly finding ways to help others. As an active member in her community she volunteered for different causes and cooked meals to feed others in Cd. Juarez. For many years Olga was a passionate consultant for Kitchen Fair and Home Interiors products making homes beautiful. She will always be remembered for living her life to the fullest, ready to dance and sing at a moments notice. Her beautiful smile made everyone she met feel her genuine love. Olga was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured her time with her family and especially loved her role Grandma, Granny, Abuela. She was a loving mother to her five children, Olga Angelica Rivas, Luis Alfonso Rivas (Margie Rivas), Claudia Chavez (Alexander Chavez), Abelardo Rivas (Sarahi Rivas), and Karla Rivas Valdez. She adored spending time with her eleven grandchildren, Alexis Chavez, Jacob Chavez, Crystal Rivas, Daniela Chavez, Issac Rivas, Brandon Rivas, Julios Perez, Kenneth Rivas, Emily Valdez, Kailani Rivas, and Atlacamani Rivas. Pleas join us to celebrate her life Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. with a vigil/rosary at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Cabrini (Mother Cabrini) Catholic Church, 12200 Vista del Sol. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
