Patricia Montes

Patricia "Paty" Montes was called by almighty God and obtained her wings on April 7, 2021 at the age of 65. She was a resident of El Paso, Texas and Horizon City, Texas. She was a bilingual educator for Socorro Independent District and Clint Independent District. She was a proud Bowie High School Bear and a graduate of UTEP with B.S in education. She was preceded in death by her mother Herlinda Rangel, her father Jesus Rangel, her maternal grandparents Cirila and Cruz Garcia, her paternal grandparents Genoveva and Cirilo Rangel. Survived by her husband Javier Montes Sr. and her loving sons Javier and Chris (Kevin) Montes, her grandchildren Javier Miranda, Angel Montes, Natalie Montes and Isaac Montes. Siblings Rodrigo Bautista (Manuela), Martha (Luis) Gongora, Jesus Rangel (Patricia), Pedro Rangel (Sylvia), Ma Guadalupe (Raul) Gonzalez, Raul Rangel (Adelina), Rosa Owens (Cedric). Numerous nieces and nephews to pray and remember her. A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 5:30 PM on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. A funeral mass will start at 11:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 14600 Horizon Blvd, Horizon City, Texas 79928. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
