Paul Klauss, 52, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. Paul was born in El Paso, TX on December 2, 1965. He graduated from Pattonville High School in Stuttgart , Germany. He returned back to the States and attended Texas A&M and UTEP. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He later attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University. He married his wife Lorena and had a beautiful daughter named Paula. Paul proudly worked for the U.S. Border Patrol for over 20 years. He was in the Mobile Response Team, Swift Water Rescue and served as an EMT- Emergency Medical Technician. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Paul loved God, his family and his country. Paul was preceeded in death by his father Robert W. Klauss. He leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Lorena Klauss; daughter Paula Klauss; mother Graziella Klauss; sister Patricia Klauss and family; brother Eric Klauss and family, and other family members, friends and coworkers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil/ Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30th 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31st 2018 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant Rd. Committal Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31st 2018 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Reception at Almeida Shriner’s, 6331 Alabama St., from 3-6 pm.
