Paula Meraz

PAULA MERAZ passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the age of 81. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Meraz, her sister Guadalupe Moreno, her brothers Antonio Moreno and Socorro Moreno and her niece Carmen Moreno. She is survived by her beloved daughters: Elizabeth Meraz, Diana Meraz and her husband Roberto J. Ramos, Sandra Meraz, Gloria Meraz and her husband Joel Davidson, her sister Belen Ramirez and her grandson Matthew Meraz. Paula was born and raised with her sisters and brothers in Parral, Chihuahua where, at the young age of eighteen, she became a legal secretary. She began her career in Juarez, MX, where she met Juan, her husband of forty-five years. Her longest and most important career was that of wife and mother. Paula poured her whole heart into building a home filled with warmth, security, love and lots of delicious food. She was adored by her friends and relatives, who loved to visit for the hospitality and the abundant food that Paula would happily prepare for all to enjoy. Her greatest contribution and legacy was in raising and inspiring her daughters to believe that they could achieve whatever they aspired to be-with a lot of confidence, hard work and determination. Paula will be missed very much for all that she was and for all that she gave to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Paula. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00PM.
