It is with great sadness that the family of Rodolfo G. Candelaria announces his passing on November 11, 2018. Rodolfo will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 64 years, Manuela (Nellie) Candelaria, and his children Gilberto, Alberto (Mary), Rudy (deceased), and Michael Candelaria (Josefa A.). Rodolfo will also be fondly remembered by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. He is survived by his sisters Carmen C. Duran, Elisa C. Holguin and brother Joe Candelaria. Rodolfo is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Candelaria and Belen Gonzales Candelaria, his brothers Ramon, Arturo, Carlos, Ricardo, Ignacio Jr, and Miguel. His sisters, Genoveva Baisa, and Blaza Candelaria. Rodolfo Candelaria served in the Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict, and continued working at Fort Bliss during his civilian life. Later on he found salvation, as he made the Lord Jesus Christ his Savior. A very special thanks to Dr. Alfonso Chavez for all his love and passionate care. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. El Paso, Texas 79907. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Rodolfo on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Ysleta at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
