CW2 Ret. Ronald J. Selufsky Army – 83, entered into rest after a brief illness with his family at his bedside. Born in Gloverville, upstate N.Y he later went on and graduated from Long Island A&T.
He leaves behind his wife; Palma Selufsky and his three children; Sonja Kurlowicz, Peter Selufsky, Tanya Kuemper. He was preceded in death by his Navy retired son Patrick Selufsky.
In October the entire family was present for the 60th wedding anniversary of Ronald and Palma Selufsky.
He leaves behind three grandchildren Sheila Bell, Natasha Pulvermacher, and Ron Kuemper plus four Great-grandchildren Steven Durr, Robert Durr, Lynzie Durr, and Vanessa Pulvermacher.
He and his wife were members for 15 years of the Polonia Folk dancers. They were members of the National Polish Alliance in 1960 where he served 2 terms as President. He was active at the Child Crisis Center – Discovery Shop for 15 years. Ronald will be remembered by his church and his active work with the hospitality and treasury group of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -9:00 pm with a Rosary to be said at 7:00 pm on Monday January 21, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. The Following day a Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 pm on Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Committal Service to follow at 1:30 pm Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
