Roy Lee Worthington

Roy Lee Worthington, 63 years old, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. Roy was born in El Paso, Texas on September 11, 1958. He graduated high school and then later married the love of his life in 1984, Karen Blair. Roy worked for Grey Star Management Company as the Maintenance Supervisor in Albuquerque, NM and retired in 2015. He truly loved playing baseball, enjoyed flying remote controlled aircrafts, his bowling league, golfing, traveling, enjoying the great outdoors, being a part of the “Sons of Legions” and his Dallas Cowboys football team. Most of all, he loved his family and friends, gatherings and spending time with each other. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Frank Worthington and Donnie Porter Worthington. He leaves behind his sisters Martha Callery, Linda Worthington, and Daisy Dillard, his wife of 38 years, Karen Worthington, sons; Philip Worthington, Jonathan Worthington, daughter; Amanda Worthington, and grandson; Anthony Lee Worthington. Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 09, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina.
