Ruperta Soria

Ruperta H. Soria, age 88, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother drew her last breath while surrounded by her loving family on April 4, 2021. Born on March 27, 1933 in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Ruperta met the love of her life Raul Soria Sr. in 1956 and made a home in El Paso where they raised their children and grandchildren. Ruperta persevered through difficult events in her lifetime, including losing her best friend and husband of 36 years, Raul Soria Sr. and daughter, Alicia in 2006. Ruperta was a faithful servant of God and never questioned God’s plan for her when she knew her days were numbered. Ruperta, our matriarch, so loving, so generous, and selfless in all ways imaginable will be greatly missed. We will miss her laughter, her singing, and her beautiful garden. May we cherish the wonderful memories and values she instilled in us all and carry her legacy. Ruperta is survived by her sons Federico, Roberto, Eduardo, and Raul Antonio, her daughters Gloria, Rosa Elena, Angelica, and Maria, her “palomita” granddaughter Melissa and brother Margarito. Ruperta was blessed on this earth with 25 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren. We will celebrate Ruperta’s eternal life with the Lord with a memorial service on Friday, May 7, 2021 with visitation from 1:00-3:00p.m. and prayer service at 2:00p.m. at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, TX 79907, where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband Raul.
