Severo Lerma

Severo Lerma, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 3, 2020 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on June 30, 1941. He retired from YISD after working many years at Ramona and Scotsdale Elementary. He was an enthusiastic fan and never gave up on his San Francisco 49’ers. He enjoyed handyman work and could always be counted on for help from family, neighbors and friends. Severo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Nieves H. Lerma, sisters; Josefa Gonzalez, Ramona Lerma, and Cleofas Heredia. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Maria Silva Lerma, daughter Maria Teresa Lerma, son Gabriel Lerma (Melina), grandchildren Iris V. Lerma and Robbie A. Lerma, sisters; Reyes Lerma, Guadalupe Silva, Rosa Navarrete, and Lorenza Reynolds. Other survivors include dear family members and friends. Due to the current Covid-19 situation and in hopes of keeping all of our family and friends safe, Severo’s services will be private. The family appreciates the thoughtful prayers and gestures in his memory. Special thanks to the staff at UMC hospital and Sunset Americas Funeral Home.
