Socorro F. Rojas
July 15, 1927 - January 20, 2015
Socorro F. Rojas, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was surrounded with love by her immediate family.
She was a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas, and was the widow of Donato Rojas, Jr., who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her children: Olga Rojas, Rachel Mona’, Robert Rojas, Linda Guerrero-Borrego, Daniel Rojas and Kristine Beltran. She leaves behind two brothers, Tony Franco and Pablo Franco; and four sisters, Beva Acosta, Cruz Ayers, Jo Bennett and Elva Navarrette. She dedicated her life to her growing family that also included: 13 Grandchildren; 21 Great/Grandchildren and 3 Great/Great grandchildren.
Our hearts are broken, but those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear. We will never forget how you impacted our lives with your strength and determination dear Mother. “We have loved you for a thousand Lifetimesâ€.
She will be carried by her beloved pallbearers: Valdo Sandoval, Daniel Rojas, James Rojas, Michael Beltran, Patrick Beltran, Dillon Bibo, Julian Gloster, Alex Borrego, Arturo Beltran and Antonio Mona’.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa St. Following Mass, she will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
