Susan B Pilant

Late Tuesday, February 13, 2018, our loving mom, sister, grandma, and friend left us for a better place. Susan Pilant was born in Orangeville, Utah, but moved to El Paso as a young girl for the dry climate to ease her asthma. She always believed El Paso saved her life. She graduated from Parkland High School in 1965 and began her family. After raising her four children, and caring for many others, she joined the workforce. Upon retirement, she spent her remaining years spending time doing things she loved: reading, crocheting, spending time with family, and loving her pets. She will be greatly missed by her children: Jenni Pilant and Juan Fernandez, Jerri Pilant and Michael Rodriguez, Jay and Josefina Pilant, and Joy Pilant; grandchildren: Brittany, Matthew, Joscelynn, Eric, Jacob, Tristan, Samantha, Jude, and Jovi; siblings: Marilynn and Ray Macias, Les and Lou Bryson, and Kathy and Gary Pullins; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her friend and dedicated caregiver: Maria de Jesus. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Pet Guardian Angel Welfare Association, Inc., or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Committal Service will begin at 1:00pm on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
