Vernon Haverstick

November 3, 1918 — February 11, 2010

Vernon F. Haverstick, served in the Aleutian Islands as an AAF Technical Sargent in radio communications during World War II. While in the service Vernon was recognized as a sharpshooter and for his service in a theater of war. Post war, Vernon became an El Pasoan and worked at White Sands Missile Range for Raytheon. He retired as a Test Coordinator for the Patriot missile and then became heavily involved in volunteer efforts. Committal Service for Vernon F. Haverstick and his wife Ann Haverstick will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:30 am.
