William "Bill" Tullgren

William “Bill” Tullgren, 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Bill was born in Rush City, MN, and grew up in Duluth, MN. He graduated from Central High School in Duluth and was drafted into the military, proudly serving 20 yrs at stations in Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX, and Fort Richardson in Anchorage, AK, until his retirement in 1987. He met the love of his life, Linda, while stationed in Alaska and settled in El Paso, TX. After he retired from the Army, Bill happily became “Mr. Mom” for many years until he decided to go back to work. Bill worked for the City of El Paso as a Sun Metro bus driver and retired again after 12 years. Bill loved camping, fishing, playing on his computer, and playing pinochle on the weekends with his wife, daughter Sheila, and son in law Johnny. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth “Betty” and Howard Tullgren; and brother, John. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Linda Tullgren; daughter and son in law, Sheila and Johnny Long; stepdaughters, Helen Salmons and Paula Riechers; brothers Howard “Sonny”, Kim, James “Jim”; sister Suzie; grandchildren Alexandra “Lexi”, Makya, Amber, Crystal, Jonathon, Virginia “Ginny”, Megan, Paige, Anthony, and Elizabeth; and many greatgrandchildren. Memorial service will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church located at 4959 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX, on July 29th, 2019 at 11:00am with lunch and fellowship to follow the memorial.
