Willie Case

October 24, 1930 — July 30, 2018

SFC Willie Case, Jr. (U.S. Army, Ret.), died peacefully July 30, 2018 at the Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veteran's Home. Mr. Case was a Korean War and Viet Nam Veteran having served over 20 years on active duty and was the recipient of the Bronze Star and many other service awards. One of the focal points of his Military Career was the fact that General of the Army and later President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the military officer who swore him into active duty. Mr. Case was a member of the McCombs Baptist Church and was active in the Rio Grande Regional Group of the Blinded Veterans Association. In addition, he served for many years as a Veteran's Service Officer for the VA. Survivors include his wife of over 68 years, Anna J. Case; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Brenda and Fred McDaniel, of EI Paso; Grandchildren, Jedediah A. Anderson, Midlothian, TX, Kristy Wort, Ennis, TX, Megan Ladner, Terry, MS, Crystal Barnes, Karisa Vasquez, and Jessica Barnes, of EI Paso; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at the McCombs Baptist Church Thursday at 10:00 A.M., Pastor Lawrence Vanley officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness over the years and even though flowers are a beautiful sight to behold, they prefer that instead of flowers that Memorials in Bill's memory be directed to the McCombs Baptist Church, 10601 McCombs, 79924 or to the Blinded Veteran's Associati-on, 125 N. West St., Third Floor, Alexandria, VA 22314. Services by Sunset Funeral Home, Northeast.
