Agustin O. Quezada

April 8, 1929 — May 16, 2026

El Paso, TX

With heavy hearts and profound respect, we bid farewell to Agustin O. Quezada, a man whose spirit and character left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him. Born on April 8, 1929, in the humble surroundings of Colorado City, Texas, Agustin’s journey through life was marked by unwavering passion, steadfast principles, and a deep love for family, friendship, and the simple joys that enriched his every day.

Agustin passed away on May 16, 2026, in El Paso, TX, leaving behind a legacy characterized by devotion, affection, and an unforgettable presence. He was a man who did things on his own terms, steadfastly set in his ways, and with a spirit that could never be swayed from what he believed was right. His hands were many things — a meticulous handyman, a tender gardener — and his heart was large, especially for his beloved dog, Jack Rusell Chuchito, to whom he showed boundless affection.

His passions were as vivid as his personality. Agustin found joy in watching football and boxing, celebrations of strategy, strength, and perseverance that mirrored his own approach to life. Each game, each match was more than just a pastime; it was a reflection of the fervor he carried into all aspects of life, a man who loved deeply, cared fiercely, and lived authentically.

Agustin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria Natividad Quezada, a bond cherished and remembered with reverence and love. He leaves behind a family and circle of friends who were the cornerstone of his world. His brother Ruben Chaffino, his niece Mary Helen Resendez, multiple nieces and nephews, and his best friend Ezequiel Beltran all carry forward his memory, each touched by the warmth and strength of his spirit.

The community will gather to honor and celebrate Agustin’s remarkable life on June 2, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in El Paso. Beginning with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Rosary from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and a Mass from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., these rites will offer an opportunity to reflect on the remarkable man Agustin was. The final resting will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, beginning at 1:00 p.m., where he will join those who went before him, embraced by the dignity and honor befitting a life so richly lived.

Agustin O. Quezada was a man of principle, affection, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. His legacy is one of unyielding strength, heartfelt love, and a vivid coloring of life lived fully and without compromise. Though he may have departed this world, his spirit remains vibrant, echoing in every garden he tended, every game watched, every moment shared with family, friends, and his faithful companion, Chuchito. He will be deeply missed but forever celebrated.
