Ricardo Baca, 85 Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, Alejandro Ricardo “Ritchie” Baca, 85, died July 9, 2013 in El Paso, Texas. Born in El Paso, Texas on April 24, 1928 to Aurelia Reza and Teofilo Baca. Ricardo enlisted with the Air Corps of the U. S. Army in 1946 and was honorably discharged after his tour. He worked at Safeway Grocery for a short time before he went on to work at White Sands Missile Range in the motor and aircraft pool. During this time he served as a union representative for his fellow co-workers. Mr. Baca retired after 28 years of civil service duty in 1987. Ricardo was preceded by his beloved wife Antonia De la Paz Baca. Ricardo is survived by his daughters: Sandra L. Baca and Eufemia (Pema) Baca Garcia; his brother, Juan Reza; grandson Alfredo Alejandro Baca and granddaughters: Krystal Nicole Baca Ortiz and Sophia Isabella Garcia; great grandsons: Adrian Vicentainer Baca, Nathan Dominic Ortiz, Antonio Noel Ortiz and great granddaughters: Hennessey Nevaeh Ortiz and Iris Marie Baca; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Gathering of Remembrance will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Prayer service at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home East located at 750 N Carolina. Graveside Service will take place at Ft Bliss National Cemetery on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home East.
