Alexandro Carpio

Alexandro Carpio, a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas, passed away peacefully at midnight on December 14. He was born on June 10, 1952, and lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and genuine kindness toward everyone he met.

Alexandro graduated from Bowie High School in 1970 and went on to build a strong career and reputation in the El Paso community. He dedicated 25 years of service to Phelps Dodge at the Copper Refinery, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking employee.

Together with his beloved wife, Sofia Carpio, Alexandro built not one but two successful family businesses. For over 20 years, they joyfully decorated weddings and quinceañeras, helping families celebrate life’s most meaningful milestones. They also owned and operated a successful janitorial business, a testament to their teamwork, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Alexandro was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Ana Carpio. He is survived by his loving wife, Sofia; his three sons, Ramon, David, and Andrew; his 11 cherished grandchildren; and his four brothers, Jimmy, Ernesto, Daniel, and David.

He was known for his good humor, warm friendliness, and the effortless way he made everyone around him feel special and loved. He also found joy in life’s simple pleasures and was a great lover of coffee, cake, and ice cream, often sharing these moments with family and friends, turning ordinary days into cherished memories.

Alexandro will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and warmth he brought into the lives of all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 30 2025 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
