On April 27, 2018 our loving Mother Alicia Castillo Torres was called home by Our Heavenly Father. Alice was the fourth child born to Albino Castillo and Pauline Castillo on June 14, 1948. She was a free spirit who loved to learn. As an avid reader her intelligence was apparent to everyone who knew her. Alice was keen on a variety of subjects including art, history, music, geography, politics, religion, books, sports and movies. She was blessed with the gift of understanding and strength that was received by everyone she loved. Listening to music and dancing to her favorite musicians is a fond memory we will always have when we hear the variety of genres she loved. Alice’s spirit and faith will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her. She was the realest and most genuine soul in all of our lives. Her devotion to her loved ones, comforting words of advice, and wisdom will forever be missed. Alice’s beautiful smile and contagious laughter will be carried in all of our hearts. Everything Alice did was from her heart and the legacy she left will transcend time. She lived life to the fullest and is irreplaceable and unforgettable. Rosary and viewing is May 3 at Sunset Funeral Home 9521 North Loop 5pm-9pm. May 4 mass is at Guardian Angel Catholic Church 3021 Frutas Ave. 10am with burial following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery 401 S. Zaragoza Rd.
